Safety & quality

Are CONNETIX magnetic tiles safe?

Yes. CONNETIX is a premium magnetic tile brand designed with safety and durability at its core. Made from non-toxic ABS plastic, our tiles are free from BPA, phthalates and PFAS. Our magnetic tiles are ultrasonically welded and secured with metal rivets to reinforce the tiles and keep magnets securely enclosed.



Our CONNETIX PRO tiles are mechanically friction-fitted and secured with industrial-grade adhesive to keep magnets safely enclosed and support long-lasting durability.

What safety standards do CONNETIX meet?

CONNETIX products are regularly tested and meet or exceed toy safety standards in every market where we are sold, including Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, Europe and more. View our full safety standards and testing information. 

What age are CONNETIX recommended for?

CONNETIX are recommended for children aged 3 years and up. While every tile is designed with safety in mind, younger children should always be supervised.

What are CONNETIX made from?

CONNETIX are made from non-toxic ABS plastic and contain strong magnets that are securely enclosed within each tile. All products undergo regular safety and quality testing.

What makes CONNETIX different from other magnetic tiles?

CONNETIX combines strong magnets, a signature bevel design, premium materials and rigorous safety testing to support open-ended play that grows with children. Find out more about the CONNETIX difference. 

Compatibility & care

Are CONNETIX compatible with other magnetic tile brands?

Yes. CONNETIX are compatible with most leading magnetic tile brands. Because CONNETIX magnets are stronger than most, connections with other brands may not feel as strong.

Can I combine different CONNETIX packs?

Yes. All CONNETIX packs are designed to work together, allowing collections to grow over time.

How do I clean my CONNETIX tiles?

Wipe your tiles with a damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals. We do not recommend submerging tiles in water, as moisture may damage the magnets over time.

Are CONNETIX tiles waterproof?

No. CONNETIX tiles are not waterproof and should not be submerged in water, as this may damage the magnets inside.

Yes. Designed by educators, CONNETIX supports STEAM learning through hands-on exploration of design, engineering, geometry, magnetism and problem-solving. What skills do magnetic tiles help develop?

CONNETIX helps children develop a wide range of skills through hands-on, open-ended play, including fine motor skills, spatial awareness, creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking and collaboration. As children design, build and experiment, they also strengthen persistence, resilience and confidence while exploring key STEAM concepts.

Why are magnetic tiles good for child development?

Magnetic tiles encourage children to learn through play. By building, creating and experimenting, children develop fine motor skills, spatial awareness, creativity, problem-solving abilities and confidence. Open-ended play also supports language development, collaboration and critical thinking, making magnetic tiles a valuable learning tool at home and in the classroom.

What is STEAM?

STEAM learning encourages children to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics through hands-on, creative and inquiry-based experiences. CONNETIX supports STEAM learning by helping children experiment with design, engineering, geometry, magnetism, problem-solving and creative thinking through open-ended play.

What is MESH?

MESH stands for Mental, Emotional and Social Health. The MESH accreditation recognises products that support children's wellbeing, resilience and social development. Through collaborative building, imaginative play and problem-solving, CONNETIX helps children develop communication skills, confidence, creativity and positive social connections.

How much does shipping cost?

Where are CONNETIX made?

CONNETIX is an Australian-designed brand loved by families worldwide. Our products are manufactured in China using premium materials and undergo regular independent safety and quality testing.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

If you purchased from an authorised retailer, please contact them directly. For orders placed through the CONNETIX website, please contact our customer support team. 

Do you offer discounts for educators?

Yes. We offer discounts for eligible schools and educational organisations through our Education Program. Learn more here. 

What does "Kinetics" have to do with CONNETIX?

“Kinetics" is a common misspelling of CONNETIX. CONNETIX is the original brand name and refers to our magnetic tiles designed for creative, open-ended play and STEAM learning.
